These are a few of my favorite things 🥰 I just received these used textbooks in the mail. I LOVE used textbooks! They are SO expensive bought new and new editions come out ALL THE TIME! The nuts and bolts of the sciences stand the test of time making old editions great and affordable reference material. #womenscientists

Vanitha Muthayya - Ritu Karidhal CHANDRAYAAN-2 India marked another incredibly proud moment in history as ISRO successfully launched its second mission, Chandrayaan-2, to the moon. The Chandrayaan-2 was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on-board GSLV (Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle) Mark-III to head to the Moon's South Polar Region. As the country celebrates the proud moment, people are also praising the brilliant minds behind the success of the mission and they are two incredible women. For the first time in India's space mission history, the ISRO expedition was spearheaded by two women. While Muthayya Vanitha is the project director, Ritu Karidhal is the mission director of Chandrayaan-2. And the incredible feat of this mission does not end at that, because 30% of the team working on it comprised of women and it is India’s first space mission to be led by women scientists. #womenscientists

When I talked about the parasite cleanse being very easy for me to develop, this is the reason.... As part of my PhD research, I spent 2years mastering a branch of parasitology and mathematics to help me develop a rugged and fast biological assay for screening anthelmintic and anti parasitic drugs/herbs This I did successfully and presented as a paper at a conference on Bio-Medical research in 2012. Of course, because it wasn’t phytochemistry, my main field of study, I needed time to study and apply these other scientific disciplines to my research.... Quickly, I wanted to illustrate what I meant by slow and fast death mechanisms of parasites In this conference paper, I demonstrated these two The Haemonchus placei worms here were cultured and incubated with 2 different herbal extracts to kill them But, while one herbal extract killed them rapidly, the other did very slowly You can see the clear difference in the morphology of the parasites When they died slowly, they were still coiled up but when they died fast, they stretched out like thread. The next stage after this stretching out is disintegration This is the mechanism of action of the Usefulherbs Parasite cleanse. The parasites don’t appear in the feces, they die in the gut, stretch out, then disintegrate after which their pieces are passed out with feces from the anus You will not see the worms in your feces, but if the feces is cultured in the lab, dead microscopic eggs will be visible but only under a microscope #womenscientists
