Today concludes the NSW Ag Field Tour! We visited Connemarra farm, where Ian explained to us the in's and out's of both dryland farming, where no water is added to the system, and irrigated (watered) farming. They grow a variety of crops - mainly wheat, cotton, chickpea and sorghum. We got to go out and visit a field of wheat and got to see one of the large irrigators in action. Big thanks to Ian and his group at the farm for showing us around! . . If you are interested in coming along with us next year, this tour is open to HDR students and staff! It's good fun, and you learn a lot! . . . Thanks to PhD student @michelles_bio for the updates and photos - feel free to follow her for some plant science and agriculture updates!. . . . #research

Bbbbbrrrrraaaaiiinnnnssss 🧟🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️ I'm in Luxembourg this week so content will be a bit different in this side of social media... Got some videos coming out on YouTube that is related! In the mean time... Stumbled across an interesting art project today while exploring Luxembourg City. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine, 10 giant sculptures in the shape of a brain were placed throughout the city. Each brain was painted by a different renowned Luxembourgish artist. For each picture posted with the hashtag , Hogan Lovells Luxembourg will donate 1€ to Parkinsons research, so here is the third I saw! Felt like a searching the city for #research

My field work in lightning ridge is done, for the time being! Thank you to everyone who helped me out over the last two months. I really appreciate it! Some of the ways that people are affected by the closure of the newspaper are; charities have a harder time raising and distributing money for things like drought relief, people miss funerals, and there is a sense that the social fabric has loosened. #research
