I'M TOO SLOW 🌵 Last weekend, at the trail running retreat, every time someone told me I was doing well whilst running in Chamonix I said “thanks but I’m so slow” The amazing Rach from @run.namaste.eat kept telling me to watch out for this negative self-talk. 👉 Saying that to ourselves is not only pointless but can also hold us back from our potential, because this sort of self-deprecation conditions our mind to believe that we can never be fast. 🏃‍♀️ here is the beauty of running: that amazing feeling you get after a PR, completing a race or a hard workout, are the SAME - no matter what your pace is. Everyone is working hard and doing their best to achieve their goals. So all runners relate to each other's struggles, independent of speed. 💫 Wouldn't you enjoy running with a friend, even if you had to slow down? Most of us will never be the fastest anyway - we can't all be like Eliud Kipchoge, Mary Keitany and Paula Radcliffe. ⭐️ It’s hard not to compare ourselves to others but what is the point? Let’s celebrate the small victories! . . . . . . . #pace
