HELLO CALORIES. Oh and hello Monday you old grumpy boy! People have been asking me whether I tracked calories when I lost my weight and do I still track them. HONESTLY? YES AND NO. The original fat loss journey I went on back in 2012 YES I tracked calories. BUT I was NOT my strongest. I was NOT my healthiest. I was still eating meal replacements and cutting out foods that I loved. I did not know about cheat meals or chat days for some of us😋. Which made me ill. Following my recovery I started my natural health blog - Jaini's natural bubble and started tracking calories in myfitnesspal and started eating alot healthier and "clean" alongside my cheat DAYS. Anyway in both of the above part of my weight loss journey I was not doing something right because I always missed my junk food. My comfort food. And those days that I did eat I would overstuff I would feel awful after binge eating on my cheat day. I learnt the secret on my PT course about how to eat whatever you want and STILL lose that weight and keep losing it because it is a lifestyle not just another FAD diet or restricting the food you love. Totakoora Pappu/keerai / palak dal / lentils with greens #foodgasm Recipe : Cooking time 20 minutes Ingredients: 100 grms - toor dal One cup - Greens ( any) 4 - long green chillies 1 - large onion 4 - medium garlic cloves 2 tbsps - ghee / oil A pinch of asofoteida 1/2 tsp - mustard 2 - long red chillies 2 pinches of turmeric Salt to taste Before Cooking: Boil greens and dal together in a pressure cooker. The dal should completely become a paste. Chop onion and chillies Peel garlic and crush Procedure : Take a kadhai Heat the ghee/oil. Add mustard and wait till it sputters. Add garlic cloves, red chillies and asofoteida, and stir till garlic turns brown. Add onions and stir till brown. Add green chillies, salt, turmeric. Stir for 2 minutes in low flame. Add the greens dal to the kadhai and stir for 2 minutes on High. Taste for corrections. You can add a dollop of ghee for taste if you have used oil for tampering. Serve hot with either rice or roti. Note: Pressure cooker should have water enough only for the dal. Since the greens have their own moisture, no extra water needed. The pressure cooker whistle should go off atleast 5 times. You can add the turmeric and a few drops of oil to the cooker to ensure the dal is turned to paste and gets a consistent yellow from the turmeric. You can add chillies and onion in the pressure cooker along with the dal and greens in case you want to avoid cooking for a long time. But the taste shall definitely differ. Fried onions and chillies along with the tempering is much more Yum. Add your touch to the dish while cooking and enjoy a delicious and delicate dal. Happy Cooking!!

Grilled Chicken Sandwich from @cafcafebd ⠀ ⠀ Bringing myself out from the chaos of burger places, I went there to try out their sandwich with zero expectation. I was more interested in their appealing drinks which I have already posted about. ⠀ ⠀ Speaking of the sandwich, it was surprisingly good! They made it with black and green olives, grilled chicken, cheese, butter that comes with a side of chips. Everything was perfectly complimenting with each other. Not to mention, the condiments of the sauce along with the dish was exceptional! The taste was something I didn't try before. Highly recommended! ⠀ ⠀ ⭐ Rating-8.5/10 💸 Price- 265+ BDT ⠀ ⠀ From their service to behaviour, everything was professional and welcoming and this is what basically we look for other than food right? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ gasm
