So today I abandoned all pretence of doing anything I had told myself I was going to work on and carved and printed this piece instead. I drew it yesterday and couldn’t let it go. It goes with ‘all-seeing’ and my plant lady (title still to come) in a series of sorts - can you guess the theme?
We get asked a lot what CSNN grads do once they become an RHN/CHN. Although there are many different avenues grads can take, our number one hope is that they get out into the community and make connections to spread the world about holistic health. Alyssa from @feedthefire.nutrition is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist who recently collaborated with a local business on the island @bad_to_the_bone_broth. This company makes nourishing bone broth from grass fed beef and local chicken. . Why drink bone broth? . Bone broth contains collagen and fat-soluble vitamins which are beneficial for the integrity of the intestinal wall, as well as the functioning of the digestive system.

When our grounds are weak and we've lost touch with that deep essence and aliveness that animates our life from within, we become easily consumed by despair, fear, numbness, inauthenticity, almost all the time sleepwalking through life. At the core of embarking on my transformational journey was the realisation that there was something deeply inauthentic in the way I was living my life. The sense of contraction, pain, and stiffness in the body, the rigidity, and fixation of the mind, the numbness and dissociation from my feelings, the deep repression suddenly felt very unnatural, like a shell which gave me little room to express, create and live. I think that this innate feeling that we've lost touch with something deeply authentic within us, this desire to reconnect and reclaim our aliveness and potential and create a life on our own terms is what kindles the fire of transformation in our hearts. It is the driving force that pushes us forward, inward and deeper even in the face of radical uncertainty and the unknown. If you find yourself drawn towards inner transformation here are some tools you can incorporate to offer direction and expansion and at the same time surrendering to the process and allowing yourself to be undone. INTENTION is one of the most powerful and transformative ingredients that lays the grounds and offers a new direction to our life. It is both an arrow (direction) and a seed that we plant in our consciousness. ATTENTION. For transformation to gain momentum we need to turn and center our attention inward and nurture various aspects of ourselves that we've neglected. ENERGY. To sustain all the habitual and unconscious stream of thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in our lives requires A LOT of energy. When freed, this energy becomes a powerful source for creativity and new avenues for growth. RECEPTIVITY is the quality of being open and available. The quality of knowing less and being curious more. Of acceptance and surrender. PERSPECTIVE. If we genuinely seek transformation we need to challenge who we think we are, or should be, and expand our horizons towards higher states of awareness. Love. Ally
