The illegal trade in wildlife is driving species all over the globe to the brink of extinction.⁣ ⁣ In India, there have been increasing seizures at airports, such us Chennai Airport, since the trade is expanding rapidly. It is driven by demand for:⁣ 🐢 Rare species—headed for the pet market⁣ 🦏 Species believed to have medicinal properties.⁣ ⁣ What can you do?⁣ 🔺If you see, or hear, something suspicious at an airport report it⁣ 🔺Be informed about what you are buying: If it’s exotic and rare, there is a good chance it is also illegal.⁣ ⁣ A new campaign aims to push back and raise awareness & action in India with support from @diamirzaofficial .

Have you heard the buzz? Its today!⁣ Bees 🐝are a key part of the global food system & pollinate 75% of our food crops. They rely on their sense of smell to identify different flowers 🌻, making them effective pollinators. However, air pollution 💨can mask scent molecules from plants, meaning bees need to forage longer and become less effective pollinators.⁣ ⁣ ✅ Reducing air pollution, increasing sustainable farming practices and restoring key habitats can all benefit bees.

If we are serious about the future of our civilization and about delivering the Paris Agreement, we will have to fully decarbonize the economy by 2050, requiring no less than a ‘green industrial revolution’. It is still possible for us to act decisively to prevent catastrophic damage to the very web of life that sustains all species on the planet, including us humans.

Nitrogen makes up 78% of Earth's 🌍atmosphere and humans use it for many different purposes especially in agriculture as fertilizers to grow much of the planet's food. ❌However, nitrogen can cause many pollutant effects in air, land and water. 🗝It is important to properly manage nitrogen, which is a valuable product. The thinking around nitrogen is changing from just reducing pollution to recapturing it for the circular economy.
