While truly a rewarding, fulfilling, and difference-making passion... fostering is hard. Kittens are delicate, the work - 2155634371888680438
I foster for a local dog Rescue. That’s how we ended up adopting our newest member of the family.
I've been fostering cats and kittens for the past two years - best experience of my life!
I‘m a foster mum for 20 years. I still love it! ♥️
You’re amazing for doing it 💓 we love you 💗💗
Animal rescue is SO HARD. I'm much more a cat/kitten person than I am a dog/puppy person, but more than that I'm an animal lover. I don't currently foster (I do plan on it in the future) because I have 16 cats and dogs at home (we live in a remote rural area where animals are routinely dumped and take in any that need care). I am, however, working on re socializing a pack of abandoned feral dogs a neighbor left behind. None of the local rescues can/will help, and it's been over 100 days of just me spending my evening with them, but we make progress every day and I can't wait to see them go home with their own families ❤️🐶
My sister fostered kittens for a bit when she worked at a shelter! She probably did 5/6 total, and kept 3 of them 😂💜 But when she would work I stepped in to keep an eye on them 🥰 it was my favorite thing. Nothing like bottle feeding a kitten-but it IS hard work!
I foster. And I’ve lost 3 kittens who were siblings this last month. How do you take care of yourself so you don’t burn out? Losing those 3 babies was so hard.
How do you get an income from fostering? I feel like balancing a job and dedicating sooo much time to kittens it'd be difficult to have a job
It’s so nice to be reminded of the support community that we have♥️ it’s easy to forget that we’re all in this together, especially during the sleepless nights
I foster. Had around 35 since March. Lost seven. I do what I can do. I educate myself and seek help when I need it. I love fostering these babies.
