I’m exhausted. Every day I see people inciting violence on each other because they see things differently. There is no common ground any more. There is no unity based on our shared humanity. Don’t get me wrong, I am a conservative libertarian. I definitely have strong opinions about how things should be done. But I know I’ve got it wrong before. I know I’ve made the wrong choice (I was an NRA member for 12 months.) I know I will again. How can I condemn someone for their decisions as if I had never made any? Actions have consequences, but that’s not what I’m talking about. If it wasn’t for people being patient and helping me grow and learn, I’d still be stuck in those wrong decisions. It’s time for us to remember that. It’s time to agree to disagree and still accept each other. Until that starts happening on a large scale again, things are only going to get worse. And on a personal note, if you call yourself a Christian but act like that, you need to reread what Jesus taught. You can’t cuss out someone on the internet and have bible quotes in your bio and expect anyone to take you seriously.
