Very vulnerable to my heart but something I thought I would share โค๏ธ โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € For me, I started this thing called CrossFit in high school. High school was probably one of the hardest stages in my life because it was so easy to fall into the peer pressure like everyone else, but I refused to follow the crowd like everyone else. I would rather stay in at night than go to a party because I knew I had to go to the gym the next day. The boys made fun of me for being too muscular and said I was on steroids. I learned to not listen to them at a young age. As hard as it was, it taught me to be strong in the face of obstacles and never let anyone tell me who I should be or what I should do with my life. When Iโ€™m lifting weights or trying to move faster in a workout, I feel 100% myself. I want every girl/woman to feel this way through fitness which is why I feel so lucky to use @grownstrong as a platform to inspire others to fight for their goals and what they believe in no matter their age or what obstacles they face. Most importantly to STAY STRONG. ๐Ÿ‘Š โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € Hope you can share this post with someone who needs it. โœจ

ATTENTION all women and even a lot of men with girlfriends/wives ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ this post is for you๐Ÿ‘‡ โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € You will NOT get bulky from lifting weights. For all those women telling their coaches they donโ€™t want to lift because they donโ€™t want to get too muscular or for those men who are afraid the girl theyโ€™re dating is going to start getting huge, this couldnโ€™t be further from the truth. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € If you are training twice a day accumulating 4+ hours of training a day, then you might possibly start to add more muscle mass like the elite athletes. At the level weโ€™re at though, we care more about performance rather than astetic. But even us women will still never get as bulky as men because we produce 5 to 10% the amount of testosterone men do which limits the amount of muscle we put on. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € I am also a a good example that you canโ€™t get big even training the amount I do. I work out 4-6 hours a day, eat around 3000 calories per day, and Iโ€™ve been doing this for 11 years. No matter how strict I am with my diet and training, I am still one of the smaller athletes in my sport at around 135lbs. Everyone is built differently and we are all beautiful in our own body types. โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € I promise if you are just working out 4-5 days a week anywhere from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, be prepared to get a lean strong and more powerful body. Not only this, but you will feel better about yourself physically, mentally and emotionally. ๐Ÿ’ช So letโ€™s stop the stigma everyone, women can lift weights too! โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € @grownstrong โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ €โ € PS. If anyone thinks I look too muscular in this picture, thatโ€™s because Iโ€™m putting in a lot of effort into this movement and my muscles are going to look a lot more muscular than if Iโ€™m standing still.
