If there's one piece I'm always on the lookout for during fall, it's a great sweater dress. This recent find from @TommyHilfiger via @nordstrom is a perfect lightweight knit, and I love the red, white and blue color scheme — classic, quintessential Tommy! More pics + details are in today’s post over on GirlWithCurves.com and you can click the link in my bio to shop or http://liketk.it/2F4um @liketoknow.it, I’m wearing a size XL.

Getting lots of questions about my hair and skin routines lately, so I posted a beauty update over on GirlWithCurves.com, along with all the products I’ve been using (Link in my story as well, for easy access). ☺️

If you’re caught up on the blog, you know that my approach to self-care this year has been focused on things that help improve both physical well-being and mental clarity. While I feel physically amazing for incorporating healthier eating habits into my daily diet, as well as getting more movement into my days in general, I haven’t been focusing enough on the mental aspect of self-care. And if I’m being completely honest, trying to run 2 businesses while staying plugged in and energetic for my husband, 2 children, fur child and everything else can sometimes be extremely overwhelming. 😩 I brought this up to my brother, who shares my need of physical and mental wellness, and he gave me some insight on Intermittent Fasting. I was amazed that 1. I had never heard of it, and 2. that it comes with a long list of health benefits, including mental clarify! I’m discussing more about IF and how I plan on trying it, over on GirlWithCurves.com if you’re curious. 🖤 PS - this look is linked in my bio (I’m wearing a 14 in the top and 16 in the jeans).

New York, New York

Throwing it back to this time last year in NY during Fashion Week! 👉🏼September always reminds me of my very first experience at NYFW, just 6 months after starting GWC! Although excited and honored to have been chosen to attend shows and events alongside 19 other bloggers Tumblr named their “top 20 bloggers of the year,” I was the ONLY curvy girl in the group—scared, intimidated, nervous, insecure, feeling as if I didn’t belong there. On the very first day of events, I stood in the doorway of my hotel room with tears streaming down my face, afraid of being judged by my peers + everyone in the fashion industry, whom I always looked up to but thought would never respect me because I wasn’t the ideal, thin “style blogger.” @daveawasthi took me in his arms, looked me in the eyes and said: “you deserve to be here, and you NEED to be here, because there aren’t enough people who look like you at Fashion Week.” It was in that moment that I truly realized my purpose for being there, representing my fellow girls with curves who needed representation. I dried my tears and have been doing my part to empower confidence through style ever since! 💪🏼 Fast-forward to 2017 and my collection for Dia & Co was on the runway during NYFW. A year later I launched a design collab with Lane Bryant, and today I’m proud to be launching @girlwithcurvescollection on GirlWithCurves.com next month!!! 💪🏼👊🏼Every year when NYFW rolls around, I remember that moment back in 2011. It’s one I’ll never forget, because it’s moments like that that keep me pushing forward. 🖤

It’s Sep, which means it’s officially time to start discussing fall fashion, including BOOTS! 🤩 Sharing a round-up of 3 must-try styles over on GirlWithCurves.com, including this knee high pair that comes in a WIDE CALF 🙌🏼 Link in bio to shop. 💙

Extending the long weekend one more day, hangin’ by the pool with my Minnie 💕Hope you all had a great one!

Whether your look is dressy or casual, there’s nothing better than an outfit that makes you FEEL amazing, am I right?! I’ve been wearing @CALIAbyCarrie since the brand first launched, and they’ve changed my outlook on athleisure and activewear with their well-made essentials I can take from a workout to tackling the rest of my day. Each and every piece is made with amazing attention to detail, which I truly appreciate — like hidden pockets for your phone or keys, smoothing waistbands and fabrics that aren’t see-through. 👌🏼 You can shop this look by clicking the shop/instagram link in my bio; I’m wearing a size XL in both the top and bottom, for reference.

With so many responsibilities as a parent, shopping for clothes should be a fun one! For me it is, especially when I can get amazing everyday essentials + trendier pieces in one place for both Narayan and Madina @walmart!☝🏼 Sharing some of my go-to budget-friendly brands in today’s post over on GirlWithCurves.com — shop our looks via the link in my bio or http://liketk.it/2EtdO @liketoknow.it
