Hi guys, this is the 3rd illustration of my mini-series "Head In The Clouds" I think I'll be working on a mini tutorial to teach you guys what I learned about clouds so far β˜πŸ’™ You can buy a print of this one on my shop, the link is in my bio πŸ™Œ

Question for you… wich portrait do you prefer? The first one or this new one and why? Please let me know in the comments below 😊 You can see the first one on my profile. This is portrait number 2 of the series of 3. This one was a little harder and quite frankly I'm not πŸ’―satisfied. But I learned a lot: Lesson 01: I went too fast in the rendering. The light direction wasn't thought properly and the illustration has/is suffered from it. Lesson 02: I should have painted the whole portrait first then apply the clouds on its own layer. I would have had more control over the edge over her face. Lesson learned… now let's apply this to the next portrait of this series πŸ˜ƒπŸŒˆβ˜οΈ

TIP: If you find yourself blocked, paint something just for fun 😁 it's the best way to unblock your brain and get back to work πŸ’ͺ In this case, I had a little brake to do a portrait study 🀩 which I love doing. Now I need to finish my cloud portait number 2 πŸ’ͺ🧐

I'll try to have as many step by step process in the future as I think they are really helpful to understand the technics used by artists. I hope it helps 😁

DONE πŸŽ‰I called it "Pretty Ugly". A play of words on both the beauty of the girl and the weird tubes getting out of her head. Like it? Hate it? Let me know what you feel about it in the comment below I'm curious to know πŸ˜ƒβ

Finish not perfect... πŸ‘Œ I have lot of students asking me "when do you know if your painting is completed?". To this I like to answer... a painting is better finished than perfect. If you feel like you gave it your best shot and don't know what to fix or how to fix it means that it's time to move on. What is important is to know what you should practice after that painting. Small exercise are better than 40h long paintings. Trying to be perfect on one painting is frustrating. Try instead to learn with quick exercises and studies then apply that new knowledge to bigger project.

Hey guys 😊couldn't push this concept as much as I wanted this week, but I still wanted to share my progress. I'm hoping I'll be able to post the final image before the end of the month. I'm learning a tone on "clouds" at the moment and hope I'll be able to produce a tutorial about it soon πŸŽ‰

This week was all about cloud studies. I'll be integrading clouds in my next series of illustrations and before starting something as complicated as clouds I needed to practice. Each studies is made from a reference picture. I spent around 15 up to 30 min on each and I focused more on creating step by steps formulas then trying to paint perfect clouds. I'll be releasing a tutorial on what I have learn soon 😊

Hey guys, here's a process for the clouds. I'm having lots of ideas for future classes and tutorial with those. Exiting 😁

I love the colors clouds can have at the end of the day 😍

Some more clouds β˜οΈβ˜οΈβ˜οΈβ˜οΈπŸŽ‰If you have questions about it you can ask me anything in the comments below 😊

Slowly getting better πŸ™ŒLet me know in the comment if you would like for me to release a tutorial about painting cloud in the near future… I still need a little be more practice but I'm leaning some cool trick and combination of brushes to get nice results πŸ˜ƒ

This one is a study from the artist @vyacheslav_safronov86 go have a look at his work it's genius πŸ˜ƒ

If you struggle with painting clouds and would like to have a tutorial on clouds let me know in the comments below and I might try to come up with a quick video about it πŸŽ‰

another quick sketch of clouds ☁️

I'm going to make a few cloud studies for the next few days 😊I have a new project on my mind and clouds will be included in the design. So I hope you like quick sketches of cloud guys πŸŽ‰

I took a few picture of my hood and started to work on creating quick studies. I'm planning on releasing a class in the future on landscape but before I want to get warmed-up 😎

Been having fun with these quick studies recently so I wanted to share them πŸ˜€
