View themlgbtkids's Instagram Today is a very important day. Its a stand up for bullied lgbtqa+ youth. Please, if you see lgbtqa+ or anyone getting bullied, help them. Its so hard being us, it is, and trying to get through all this is hard, bullying doesn't need to be in the way, so please, help. If you wore purple today supporting this, comment a purple heart

View biigwood's Instagram Did you know that 8/10 TBLGQ students have reported bullying or harassment? Did you also know that today is #SpiritDay in honor of the stand against TBLGQ bullying and named after the purple stripe in the pride flag that represents 'spirit'? Today I am a little over 3 weeks post-op and I still can't fathom that this is my incredible body. But I am also reminded of the bullying I've encountered because of it. That being said, no amount of bullying, put downs, or any harassment can make me ashamed of how far I have come, or make me any less proud of what it has taken me to get to where I am today. TBLGQ bullying happens every day, even right here on my instagram page. I'm still gonna delete your negative comments and shout it from the rooftops - I'm queer, trans, and proud, can't bring me down. 1629372483697908086_179045865

View liamezraa's Instagram Today is spirit day which is a day dedicated to speaking out against the bullying of the LGBTQ+ community! I spent my morning with a group of young kids speaking about Teen Dating Violence & Domestic Abuse Awareness as this week is also A Week Without Violence which raises awareness for domestic abuse in adolescent relationships. • As a queer transgender man I’ve experienced my fair share of bullying. From being called “it” in elementary school to being called “dyke-inson” in middle school to “faggot” in high school. Even in college, transphobic faculty members dead named me in front of other students/professors, I was misgendered as a form of punishment & forced to do work as a female regardless of my strong opposition to it. (This actually led to me dropping out of college because it became so unsafe for me due to the horrible transphobia that circulates that specific university ) • No matter what my age, I was always the outcast. Always the weirdo, the one who was different from everyone else in their self expression. I was bullied for my identity to the point where I came home from school crying every single day, my parents got to the point where we considered moving to a different state. It got brought up with teachers, administrators, etc. but no one did a single thing because a school’s image is more important than their students safety. That’s why it’s so important to me to be visible for you guys. It’s so important to show that even though I’ve been bullied by kids, adults, professors, coaches, etc. I’m still okay! I’m here. I’m alive. I made it through. & you will too. No matter how nasty the things these people say to you or how harmful they may be - you WILL survive. I promise you can make it through this. & I won’t stop fighting, I won’t stop using my voice to show that we are worthy of respect, love & care just like any other human being on this earth ♥️✨ #spiritday #lgbtq 1629372244436510201_3892700860
