Recipe for 4 people in a 3,5 l Breville slow cooker/setting: high/ cooking time: 7 hours
*2 x 450 g cubed organic beef for stewing
*16 medium potatoes, (peeled & quartered)
*3 carrots, peeled & slice
*olive oil
*2 tsp butter
*1-2 tbsp rice flour
*3-4 mugs of water
*3 glutenfree beef stock cubes ( Kallo is my favourite)
*2 large garlic clove crushed or finely chopped
*2 large white onions, diced
*2 × 400g can of chopped
 tomatoes ( unseasoned)
*3 peppers ( I used green/red & yellow)
*2 bay leaves
*salt
*pepper
*paprika 
Method: Brown the beef for about 10mins in a pan with a little olive oil and season with salt and ground black pepper and some paprika. Use some kitchen towel to lightly rub the slow cooker bowl with olive oil. Place the prepared potatoes into the bottom of the bowl. Then add the prepared carrots, sliced peppers and diced onions on top. In a small sauce pan melt the butter, add the garlic and simmer for 1 minute. Add the rice flour and once the rice flour has been absorbed by the butter and starts to bubble, quickly add a mug of water bit by bit. Stir until it thickens and try to create a smooth sauce without lumps. Add the beef stock cubes, bay leaves and season with 2- tbsp of paprika. Keep adding water depending on how thick you want your sauce to be, but use at least 3 mugs. Add the browned beef into the slow cooker bowl. Add the cans of chopped tomatoeson top. Then add the garlic and stock cube sauce. This should fill the 3,5 l slow cooker bowl to the top. Press everything down with a wooden spoon, making sure the liquid ingredients ( sauce and chopped tomatoes) have covered all of the layered ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 7 hours. Before serving make sure to use a large spoon and mix all of the slow cooker contents well.

I've let her lead the way and been guided by her development and ability, every baby is different. I'm happy I can start giving her #familyfood Tonight was very unplanned so I did a veggie all day breakfast! I had the same with egg, but I'm only introducing one allergen a day and she already had almond butter on toast this morning (which she LOVED). I chose low salt and low sugar bakedbeans as these can have surprising amounts. ☝️pro mama tip: tacos are a perfect meal to let kids "build their own" which encourages them to try new foods while allowing them to feel in control of the (limited) options. ||
lentil walnut cinnamon tacos.
➕taco filling: cook 3/4c green or brown lentils 1:2 in water or veg broth, set aside. chop 1/2 an onion and sauté a few minutes. add 2 crushed garlic cloves and sauté a minute more. add 1/2 can of crushed or chopped tomatoes, 1TB tomato paste and 1c chopped toasted walnuts. add in 1c of the cooked lentils. season with 1tsp Ceylon cinnamon, 1/2tsp cumin & 1/2tsp chili powder, s&p (and cayenne) to taste. simmer until liquid is absorbed and flavors are incorporated.
