DISCIPLINE: •Doing what needs to be done, even if you don’t want to do it. •Choosing between what you want Now, and what you want Most. •The distance between your dreams and reality.
What does all of this mean? It means I have zero motivation this morning after a very long weekend of horse shows and cheerleading and travel. It also means, instead of sitting on my couch in complete silence with a cup of coffee, a good book and listening to the rain, I will be dragging my ass off the couch, drinking some go go Juice and going to teach class, get my workout in for my certification prep, then coming home to work on my business goals.
I used to use my busy mom schedule as an excuse as to why I couldn’t do things. Then I realized, that’s not the example I want to set for my three daughters. I want them to see that achieving your goals and making your dreams come true takes hard work, it means sometimes sacrificing and it take a whole lot of discipline.
Motivation will only get you so far. Be consistent. Be passionate. Be disciplined.
