New companion news then, eh?
So, if you haven't seen it yet there was a news article from the Daily Mirror, saying Bradley Walsh has been confirmed as companion in Doctor Who series 11. Personally, I don't really know. It's the Daily Mirror, the same newsstation that said Kris Marshall would be the 13th Doctor, and when Jodie Whittaker was cast, they said he was the companion. Now they've found another one that's "confirmed".
I wasn't sure if I was going to post about this, but so many seems to be taking it for granted. If you know something I don't tho, I'd be glad to know in the comments.
Anyways(if anyone read this far), I've seen many discussions either the new companion should be male, now as the Doctor's female. It's the gender balance, which points to male, which I kind of agree, but there is also the argument that who the Doctor prefers to travel with shouldn't change because of the Doctor changing, and I kinda agree that too. Therefore, I'd really like to see a TARDIS team with one male, AND a female companion, just like the Ponds and S10, at least at first, until people get used to the change.
If Bradley Walsh turns out to be the companion tho, I don't think I'll have a problem with it. I don't know much about him, but he might probably do good.
