I’m ‘bout to tell y’all about a brand of hair care you’ve never heard of before. And I couldn’t be more excited about it because, well, polyquaternium-69. As my friend Kirsten put it, pquat69 is my ‘bread and butter’. She could not be more right. It is my frizz-fighting, curl enhancing BFF. And when it’s in a glycerin free formulation with lots of other amazing ingredients, well, that’s something I just get super excited about.
My curl friend @erinblur mentioned this brand to me a few weeks ago when I posted my analysis on the Deva foams formulations. @zerranhaircare, a family-owned company based out of California, is totally new to me, and if y’all know me at all, you know by now I have an unfortunate penchant for niche, harder-to-find brands. #sorrynotsorry. But this one was so worth the digging. I reached out to them and asked (begged) to try the foam, and they generously sent me a few other items to try out: Absolution clarifying shampoo, Hair redemption treatment (similar to Olaplex, I’m guessing), Volumizing mousse, Firm gel (why, hello PVP), and Radiant gel (contains silicones; I haven’t tried it yet).
After an overnight prepoo with my love @righteousrootsoils, I used the products pictured (swipe to see too many pictures of me, one of all Zerran products used, and one where I’m scary excited), in the order pictured. I’ll do a full video review of this line soon, but let it be known that my first impression review of these Zerran products, especially the foam (pquat69!!!!!!!), is totally glowing.
You can pick up the foam on Amazon (http://amzn.to/2zCMUj4), but you can also check these products out on their website, zerran.com.
Ok, so who else has been searching high and low for a replacement/new foam? Do the ingredients in this one (or their gel, be still my heart) get anyone else as excited as they do me? Come on, fine haired wavies, I need your input!
