You can't pour into others unless your own cup is full. Waking up early to have some ME time was the biggest game changer in my life. Personally, I prefer morning walks with a mountain backdrop and my little dude by my side. But your morning can look however you want it to. Read, stretch, meditate... do anything you have to do to clear your mind and fill your soul. ❤️☕️
The difference between these two pictures was a series of decisions:
1. I decided I was sick of feeling like crap and it was time to make a change.
2. I decided to stop eating fast food and start making my own meals.
3. I decided to show up every day even if I didn't feel like it.
4. I decided to be PROUD of myself in the face of self-doubt.
I'm starting another round of my fitness program on October 9th if you decide you want to do it with me. If you're in, you can 1️⃣ drop your fav emoji in the comments or 2️⃣ fill out the link in my bio so I can reach out to you. Best thing I ever did for myself.
As I pulled into the driveway this afternoon, I noticed the mailman dropped off a big, white box to my front door. i jumped out of the car and immediately noticed it was from my aunt @suegarand I instantly lit up knowing that Auntie Susie's packages are always a treat from home. I may be well grown out of college, but care packages will always be my jam Funny how something so simple can make someone's entire weekend. It's still in the 90s here in the desert, but it's officially fall in this household
We have this habit of putting people in a certain box. And when they do something that doesn't fit in that box, we question who they are. Like I'm obviously into health + wellness, but this weekend I ate so many things I wouldn't normally think twice about... tacos, mac n cheese, bacon, pizza, you name it. I can't tell you how many people gave me a hard time about it. But here's the thing... there are no boxes. Life is full of messy lines. So here I am, back to my usual routine, and smitten over all the fun and freaking delicious food I indulged in this weekend. Cheers to knowing your balance and not always being such a square
We had so much fun "flying" through the trees on the scenic lift @azsnowbowl Thank you so much for the tickets @farmerbradley! #ilovenature #flagstaff #fall #azsnowbowl #11000feet #sanfranciscopeaks
From hiking trails in the a.m. to ale trails in the afternoon, there's never a dull moment with this one. Had too much fun cashing in on some rooftop vibes overlooking Phoenix with my girl @adiem18
Beautiful weather up north #flagstaffarizona #flagstaff #azsnowbowl #skiresort
So stoked the desert heat is finally breaking and leaving us with some cool mornings for hiking. This little dude and I live for desert adventures We got in a little leg burner just in time for some college football today. Sometimes, like all people, I get bored with my everyday workout routine, so it definitely felt good to mix it up. If you need to change up your workout, here are a few things to keep it interesting:
1. Take your workout outside... especially if you have a 4 legged furball to join ya.
2. Find a playlist that makes you feel like a boss.
3. A new pair of Nikes always has a magical way of putting a little extra pep in your step
After four days of being at school until nightfall, I only have one thing to say... TGIF

There are 3 things you should always remember:
1. Life is always good depending on the perspective you look at it from.
2. Big things happen as a result of one little choice at a time.
3. Giving someone a sincere compliment can go so much further than you ever know.

MAKE EXCUSES OR MAKE CHANGES. THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN.
I've been keenly aware of EXCUSES lately. Why as human beings do we make so many excuses for ourselves? "I didn't have enough time." "I had a lot going on at work." "I wasn't feeling the greatest." Over and over again, we remain stuck where we're at because we don't just shut up and do what we need to do. I always think... if not now, when?! Imagine what your life would look like if you stopped making excuses and actually made a change.
Most teachers dread Parent-Teacher Conference days. They’re long, exhausting, and keep us at school until after dark. But this year, as I sat through conferences, I couldn’t help thinking...
Day in and day out, my students rotate through my class. My job is to teach them history, but the reality is that I get to know them on a much deeper level than that. I see them on their good days, and I see them on their bad days. I get to be there for their celebrations in life, and I’m there when they go through tough family times. It’s pretty crazy to think that most of my students spend more time with me in class each week than they do with their parents. Yes, conference days are long, but getting to meet each of my students’ families gives me an inside look into their world. Teaching is a really hard job some days, but it’s a connection that goes far, far beyond any class or subject.
This is why I love Arizona so much... In 50 days, it'll be time to shred the gnar in my hometown. Then we'll make our way back down the hill and be in shorts and flip flops. #azsnowbowl #azhasmyheart #arizonahassnowtoo #cantwaittobreakinthenewboard #powpow #tbt@azsnowbowl
Zeke and I never miss a morning. Whether we’re up early or running a little late, morning walks have become an absolute staple in our day. For a while, the sole purpose of our walk was to keep Zeke active so he didn’t turn into a little chunk. But now… when I think about it… it turns out this dude is taking ME for a walk. Morning walks are clarity. Morning walks are time with God. Morning walks are meditative. Morning walks are to be still. Before we started this routine, I used to jump out of bed right before I had to leave for school, be on the go alllllll day long, and then come home and melt on the couch. I never had ME time. I’m thoroughly convinced that the world would be a much happier place if more people carved out time for a morning walk.
You can learn a lot about a person by reading what's on their bucket list. On my last adventure to New Orleans, it didn't take me long to find this chalk wall, and I couldn't pass up the chance to add to it. If you were with me, what would you have written?!
Before I die I want to _______________.
BE OBSESSED OR BE AVERAGE.
I heard this yesterday and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. How scary is that? Can you imagine living the most boring, vanilla life for your entire life?! Yikes When I started my coaching business, I knew that if I was going to pour into the lives of others, I HAD to put my own health + happiness first. So, I started waking up before the sun to work my business, and I started making workouts part of my DAILY routine.... who even am I?! I'm not exactly sure what this feeling is that's taking over me... but I'm sensing it's a little bit of obsession
Today, I brought in cookies for my 7th grade class. If I had a dollar for every time I heard, "but Ms.T, those aren't healthy!!" I'd be able to retire. Hey, at least they're paying attention.
